2020 Scholarship Recipients
 

Business and Professional Women of North Sarasota presented our 2020 scholarship awards.  Scholarship recipients were Amiyah Smith (left) and Jaela Dennis (right).

 Amiyah also graduated from Booker High School.  She was also a dual enrollment student at Suncoast Technical College where she will also graduate and be able to take the exam to become an LPN.  Amiyah will continue her education at State College of Florida in the RN program to obtain a BSN degree.

 Jaela graduated from Booker High School where she was in the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Program, a College for Every Student Ambassador, in the Key Club, a Student Government Association representative and played basketball all four years.  She is President of the Sarasota County NAACP Youth Council and is the 2019 recipient of the Rising Star award presented by the Sarasota County Branch NAACP.  Jaela was active in the Safe Children Coalition Achievers, and participated in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Bradenton Alumnae Chapter’s Delta Gems Program.  She will attend Florida A&M University to study Cyber Security.
